My recommendation for using this resource:

• Spend approximately 10 minutes talking about some famous children's authors that students are familiar with. Ideally, find one book written by each of the authors included.
• Have each student choose one author to research. Be sure to let them choose an author that interests them.
• Have each student use the point form note organizer to organize their research notes over the course of a few days.
• Use the paragraph/essay page to have students write their research in paragraph form.
• Have students condense the information to create their author poster. Display these posters as a bulletin board display.
