Place value doesn't have to be boring! Your students are going to love this set of 20 place value mystery pictures! For each mystery picture, your students will need the hundred chart page and the clue pages.
Students read a clue and then shade the corresponding box. For example, if a student is supposed to use blue to shade 2 tens, 4 ones, he will shade the number 24 blue.
This is fantastic practice for understanding place value AND using a hundred chart!
Some of the most popular ways to use these include:
- as a stand-alone math station
- as an early finisher activity
- as a math warm-up at the beginning of class
- as a "bell ringer activity" as students come into the classroom in the morning
This set of place value mystery pictures includes 20 pictures with answer keys.
