About
This Working with Money Gallery Walk reinforces skills associated with working with money. Skills involved are counting money, finding the difference between sets of coins, money word problems, drawing coins to represent a certain amount, and more! It is included at three different levels: sums to $1.00, sums to $10.00, and sums to $50.00. A gallery walk is a fantastic way to get students up and moving around the classroom, while completing curriculum-related tasks that will reinforce their knowledge.
How It Works
During a gallery walk, cards are posted around the room, each containing a task for students to complete. Students move around the room, completing the tasks on their recording sheet.
Gallery walks integrate movement into a lesson that reinforces essential knowledge. Kinesthetic learners are engaged, and classroom management issues become minimal.
Gallery walks are a great idea for formal observations by your administration, as you are integrating other intelligences into your math lesson.
What's Included?
Each level includes 25 gallery walk cards (75 cards in all) and an answer key.
This gallery walk is included in 3 formats: US currency and Canadian currency versions, as well as a generic currency version. The Canadian version utilizes $1 and $2 coins rather than bills.
