Fall Math Centers just got a lot more engaging! These fun logic problem puzzles will challenge your students and get them thinking about addition in a whole new way. These are ideal as early finisher tasks, morning tubs, or partner math centers. They also make a fantastic addition to your problem-solving or critical thinking routine.
For each of the 20 logic puzzles, your students will find the value for each symbol and record it on the accompanying recording sheet.
Although these puzzles work with addition to 20, don't be fooled! If your students are not used to working with numbers in this way, these will be surprisingly challenging. These are best suited to Grade 2, but you may also use them to differentiate to older students who need extra support.
If you are like most teachers and teach a class with various ability levels, I highly recommend you provide differentiation for your students. You want to provide just enough challenge for each student but not SO MUCH challenge that this activity becomes frustrating.

Assign specific sets to students, or lay them all out and have students choose the set that provides the perfect amount of challenge for their brain!
