Our goal is to provide you with a project that not only reinforces real-life math and ELA skills, but also shows kids the importance of life-long learning.

Although this project has been created to specifically target Grade 6 Manitoba Math and ELA outcomes, it can be used by teachers anywhere!

The specific skills that this project reinforces are:

MATH

• solving multi-step word problems using large numbers
• percent
• estimation
• multiplication with decimals
• area of irregular shapes
• interpret graphs
• probability

ELA

• create text for a specific audience
