About
Number of the Day is an important part of an early years math routine to build number sense. For each number, students will complete at least five tasks.
Although each number has different activities, all activities are focused around the following skills:
- writing and solving equations
- creating and solving problems
- place value
- representing numbers
- expanded form and word form
- odd and even
- money
- skip-counting
- greater/less/equal
- number lines
Although these activities are intended for number of the day, they are also a great addition to any part of a math program. These activities are also useful to leave for substitute teachers.

What Teachers Are Saying
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ "This is a great resource for number sense. I love that once students learned the format they are able to do it independently." Cortney S.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ "This is a great number sense review. I use this a couple times a week to supplement our county's number sense activities and my kids look forward to it every week! It does a great job of spiraling back to things like place value and skip counting, while still challenging students through word problems." Brittany H.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ "We used this resource every day as a warm up for our math class. This got my students in a good place to be in a math mindset before beginning our actual lesson for the day." Dani J.
