About
This One-Hundred More, One-Hundred Less Gallery Walk will reinforce number sense to 1,000. This gallery walk has been specifically designed to incorporate number sense concepts such as number lines, base 10 blocks, equations, numerals, number words, and number lines.
A gallery walk is a fantastic way to get students up and moving around the classroom, while completing curriculum-related tasks that will reinforce their knowledge.
How It Works
During a gallery walk, cards are posted around the room, each containing a task for students to complete. Students move around the room, completing the tasks on their recording sheet.
Gallery walks integrate movement into a lesson that reinforces essential knowledge. Kinesthetic learners are engaged, and classroom management issues become minimal.
Gallery walks are a great idea for formal observations by your administration, as you are integrating other intelligences into your math lesson.
