About
A gallery walk is a fantastic way to get students up and moving around the classroom, while completing curriculum-related tasks that will reinforce their knowledge.
This particular Geometry Gallery Walk focuses on geometry skills involving classification and properties of shapes. Skills included symmetry, parallel and perpendicular lines, types of angles, and more!
The tasks in this gallery walk correlate specifically to the Grade 4 Common Core Standards.
How It Works
During a gallery walk, cards are posted around the room, each containing a task for students to complete. Students move around the room, completing the tasks on their recording sheet.
Gallery walks integrate movement into a lesson that reinforces essential knowledge. Kinesthetic learners are engaged, and classroom management issues become minimal.
Gallery walks are a great idea for formal observations by your administration, as you are integrating other intelligences into your math lesson.
What's Included?
