About
This Identifying Fractions Gallery Walk focuses on basic fraction skills used to identify fractions and develop a basic understanding. This includes writing fractions, identifying largest/smallest fractions, fractions on a number line, drawing a fraction model, and more! It correlates directly to the Grade 3 Common Core Fractions standards. A gallery walk is a fantastic way to get students up and moving around the classroom, while completing curriculum-related tasks that will reinforce their knowledge.
How It Works
During a gallery walk, cards are posted around the room, each containing a task for students to complete. Students move around the room, completing the tasks on their recording sheet.
Gallery walks integrate movement into a lesson that reinforces essential knowledge. Kinesthetic learners are engaged, and classroom management issues become minimal.
Gallery walks are a great idea for formal observations by your administration, as you are integrating other intelligences into your math lesson.
What's Included?
