Arrays are a fantastic way to introduce multiplication to your students. But they are also useful for helping students to see the relationship between multiplication and division! For example, an array with 4 columns and 3 rows shows that 4x3=12 and 3x4=12, but it also shows that 12÷4=3 and 12÷3=4. With this resource, students will work with arrays to make connections between multiplication and division.
This set of task cards includes 24 cards, each with an array for a different basic fact. For each array, students will write two multiplication equations and two division facts - a multiplication/division fact family.
Recording sheets and answer keys are included. I have also included an array reference poster for classroom display.
