Include these task cards to your additon and subtraction math center for reinforcement and practice! This resource is divided into three separate sections in order to appeal to the needs and abilities of your students, as well as the numbers that you are currently working with in your classroom.
Level 1 includes the numbers from 1-20. Students will be solving addition and subtraction equations with numbers lower than 20. Level 2 includes numbers between 21 and 50. Level 3 includes numbers between 51 and 100.
Ideas for Use
Teachers have several options for using this center activity. First, teachers may choose only one level to work on and save the next ones for later in the year. Alternatively, some teachers may choose to use the different levels in order to differentiate for the range of abilities within the typical classroom. Use Level 3 as enrichment and Level 1 as scaffolding.
What's Included?
Each level includes 20 ice cream cones with a sum/difference. With three levels, that's 60 ice cream scoops altogether! An additional 40 ice cream scoop cards are included that students will match to each cone.
