About
A gallery walk is a fantastic way to get students up and moving around the classroom, while completing curriculum-related tasks that will reinforce their knowledge. This Back-to-School gallery walk is intended as a fun get-to-know-you activity for the first week of school.
How It Works
During a gallery walk, cards are posted around the room, each containing a task for students to complete. Students move around the room, completing the tasks on their recording sheet.
Gallery walks integrate movement into a lesson that reinforces essential knowledge. Kinesthetic learners are engaged, and classroom management issues become minimal.
Gallery walks are a great idea for formal observations by your administration, as you are integrating other intelligences into your math lesson.
What's Included?
There are 25 gallery walk cards in all.
What Teachers Are Saying
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ "A perfect way to introduce the other gallery walks. The casual and 'easier' nature allow students to become comfortable with the format and expectations before adding in the 'academic' part of it. Loved it! Was a great way to beat the first week 'ants in the pants' with my 3rd graders! :)" Tina's Teaching Treasures
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ "Such a great idea! I'm going to make several copies of each card and do about 5 each day for about 10-15 minutes each day." Aneesah A.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ "This was such a wonderful ice-breaker back at the beginning of school. We learned a lot of interesting things about our classmates...looking forward to using your product again next September! Thank you!" Ladybug's Teacher Files
