About
This resource includes a set of task cards to practice the area model using base ten blocks. They focus on a conceptual understanding of multiplication and give students the opportunity to incorporate concrete understanding. This package is for basic multiplication facts only and serves as a good introduction to the area model before introducing multi-digit multiplication.
Provide base ten blocks so students can work in a hands-on way as they complete the task for each task card.
