Christmas Math has never been so much fun! This Christmas Math Project will keep your students engaged and begging for more throughout the month of December, as they complete relevant, meaningful, and FUN tasks using addition, subtraction, graphing and data interpretation, time, logic, and so much more! These essential skills are reinforced with activities like decorating the tree, counting the toys, and graphing the letters to Santa.
The Christmas Project is a real-life math project that includes thirteen different holiday-related tasks. This project is the perfect solution to those chaotic days before winter holidays, keeping your students interested and motivated.
Ideas for Use
- Use the individual tasks as part of your December math centers. Place one task at each center and have students rotate through them.
- Make a booklet for each student that includes all the tasks from this math project. Allow your students to choose the order that they complete the tasks, and use it as early finisher activities or morning work.
- Keep students engaged during those final days before Christmas holidays by allowing them to work through this package with a partner.
You might choose to print specific tasks to use during math centers, or you might make a booklet out of all of the tasks and let your students choose which one to do when.
