About
This fun Christmas gallery walk (or Around the Room activity) will get your students up and moving as they complete meaningful curriculum-related tasks. This is the perfect Christmas activity to keep students engaged and motivated during that chaotic last week of school before the holidays.
In this Christmas edition gallery walk, curriculum-related skills are reinforced with a fun, Christmas theme. Cards are mostly ELA-based, but there are a couple of math-based cards as well.
How It Works
During a gallery walk, cards are posted around the room, each with a task for students to complete. Students move around the room, completing the tasks on their recording sheets. I like to let students work in partners, as they typically have some excellent conversations while reflecting on each task.
Gallery walks integrate movement into a lesson that reinforces essential knowledge. Kinesthetic learners are engaged, and classroom management issues become minimal.
Gallery walks are a great idea for formal observations by your administration, as you are integrating other intelligences into your math lesson.
What's Included?
