View allA gallery walk is a fantastic way to get students up and moving around the classroom, while completing curriculum-related tasks that will reinforce their knowledge.
During a gallery walk, cards are posted around the room, each containing a task for students to complete. Students move around the room, completing the tasks on their recording sheet.
I love gallery walks because they integrate movement into a lesson that reinforces essential knowledge. Kinesthetic learners are engaged, and classroom management issues become minimal. Gallery walks are a great idea for formal observations by your administration, as you are integrating other intelligences into your math lesson.
This special combo pack includes gallery walks for both 2-digit and 3-digit left-to-right addition. Scaffolding is included on the recording sheet for those still using the step-by-step process. Two levels are included in each gallery walk: no regrouping and some regrouping. Each level includes 25 gallery walk cards.
Enjoy!
